Patients in the United States who hold video visits in AK, CA, FL, IL, IN, KS, NC, NV, NY, OH, OK, PA, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, and WV can be directly prescribed medical treatment and have the option for medications to be delivered to their doorstep or called into a local pharmacy.
Patients outside of one of the states listed above may still hold a video visit with a Neura neurologist, who will recommend a customized treatment plan. Your individual treatment plan may include specific prescription medication and testing, and with your permission, we will reach out directly to your existing provider to communicate our visit notes and treatment recommendations. Your local physician would be responsible for directly prescribing any treatment for you based on our evaluation. In most cases, physicians are willing to do this. We can also refer you to a local provider if you need more assistance.
Patients outside the United States, please be aware of the following considerations:
We cannot prescribe any medications or order any testing for patients outside of the US. Still, you may hold an informational consultation with a Neura neurologist who will recommend a customized treatment plan and work with your local physician to get any necessary items ordered for you. Your local physician would be responsible for directly prescribing any treatment for you based on our evaluation.
We offer Care Coaching as part of the Neura Health subscription. If you do not wish to see our medical team on a consult-only basis, your membership would still include access to care coaching visits via Zoom on a weekly or bi-weekly cadence to discuss ways to find headache or migraine relief via lifestyle, diet, stress management, and various other methods. Our care coaching program is a great starting point for someone who may not be able to see a Neura clinician right away.
If you are outside of the US, please be aware of the following considerations:
- You must have a phone number with a +1 country code in order to sign up for Neura Health at this time.
- Our mobile app is only available for download in the US and Canada.
- Our pricing is in USD (United States Dollar) amounts.
If you would like to proceed with signing up for Neura Health and you are outside of the United States, please follow the instructions below:
- When signing up, choose Alaska (AK) as your state with zip code 99663. This will help us identify you as a member outside of the US. Our team will be in touch to confirm your location once you sign up.

A video visit is required in most cases, but not all cases. We do offer online chat-based treatment in low-complexity cases included in the membership fee. For example: your medication works well and you need a refill, or you want to switch from one medication to another within the same class. Higher complexity cases require a video visit.
In order for us to determine if chat-based treatment is safe for you, you must start your membership trial for $1 and then fill out our intake forms and a self-recorded video for a neurological exam. If our medical team determines that they can safely establish chat-based care in your case, you will not need to pay for a video visit. Completing these steps does not guarantee treatment, but allows us to assess your case and determine whether you are a candidate for this treatment offering.
We accept certain insurance plans in the state of Florida only:
- We are currently in-network with Medicare - Original Part A and Part B in the state of Florida.
- We also accept all Florida Blue PPO plans with out-of-network benefits (you would only pay copay up front for your appointment).
- For all other health plans in Florida, you would pay full price up front and we can submit for out-of-network reimbursement on your behalf.
For patients in CA, FL, OH, and PA, we can file out-of-network claims with your insurance company on your behalf for fees associated with your medical visits. If you are a patient outside one of these states, your Care Concierge can provide you with a medical invoice, or “superbill”, to submit to your insurance according to their specific claims process.
In all states, prescription medications prescribed by Neura Health clinicians may be covered under your insurance plan depending on your individual coverage.

To cancel your membership, please email support@neurahealth.co and we will cancel it the day of your request. You may cancel your subscription at any time, but you will forfeit any fees paid for the balance of the subscription period. You will still have access to your Neura Health subscription through the end of the subscription period.
HSA/FSA may be used to pay for Neura’s services and subscription in OH, PA, CA and FL. It is your responsibility to work with your HSA/FSA provider to ensure that these are “qualified medical expenses” under your plan. Message your Concierge if you would like to learn more.
Neura offers access to board-certified neurologists who specialize in headaches, as well Physician Assistants for follow-up visits at a lower price. We also have Care Coaches, who help with emotional support and management of lifestyle modifications, and Care Concierges, who assist with tasks such as billing, prior authorizations or insurance reimbursement.

If you joined Neura as a member prior to 2/1/22, you will get one video visit with a provider included in your membership fee every three months. If you want to schedule additional video visits once you have used your quarterly allotment, you can do so for $75-100 per additional visit, depending on which clinician you choose to see.
If you joined Neura as a member after 2/1/22, video visits are not included in the membership fee, and there is no limit to the number of visits you can schedule. You may schedule your first video visit for $150, and each follow up visit will cost $75-100, depending on which clinician you choose to see.

Open the Neura app to get your unique referral link (available on the Profile tab > Refer A Friend). If your friend signs up with that link, they will automatically get $14 off their Neura membership once their one-week trial is over. If they stay on our platform beyond the first week, you will also automatically get a $14 credit applied to your Neura account that will be applied to your next charge. Yes, membership is required to schedule a video visit with a neurologist or chat with the neurologist in the Neura app. Membership costs just $1 for the first week. Included in the membership fee is access to our headache tracker, unlimited texting with your care team, weekly care coaching sessions and a custom treatment plan. Your first week costs just $1. After that, it's $7 per week for access to the Neura membership, billed monthly at $28 per month. This includes our access to our tracker, unlimited texting with your care team, weekly care coaching sessions, a custom treatment plan and ability to schedule video visits with a neurologist (video visits require an additional fee). You must cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment to avoid getting charged.
If you joined Neura on or after 2/1/22 and you do not cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, you will be charged the full amount of your visit ($150 for first visit or $75 for follow up visit).
If you joined before 2/1/22, and quarterly visits are included with your early access pricing plan, and you do not cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, you will incur a $75 charge for your replacement appointment.
Neura providers can write referrals for you to get any necessary scans.
Neura can serve patients ages 14 and older. We are working on treating younger patients in the near future!
Yes, Neura serves both iPhone and Android users.
Neura works independently of your in-person neurologist - we can provide referrals for in-person visits if required. We can also export your medical data if helpful to share with your in-person doctor.
All of your information will be kept private in accordance with HIPAA. Our product has been audited and approved for HIPAA compliance.
