Tell us a little about your background/training.

I’m a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) with over 10 years of direct care experience across diverse settings including community agencies, medical centers, and digital health.

Prior to Neura, I was a Senior Health Coach Manager at Noom where I led a group of managers that supported a team of remote health coaches focused on helping mobile app users live healthier lives by pioneering innovative ways to merge behavior change with technology. My previous professional experience includes conducting neuropsychological testing at the Cleveland Clinic.

I earned a Master’s degree in Psychology from Cleveland State University and a Master’s degree in User Experience Design from Kent State University. My research experience is in the areas of coping with chronic illness, psychophysiology, and biofeedback.

What have been the things you are most proud of in your career?

At Noom, I had the opportunity to develop leaders in health coaching and help “write the book,” so to speak, on digital health coaching. I lead a team of Health Coach Managers who collectively supervised over 100 Health Coaches. Together we helped thousands of individuals prevent and manage chronic conditions through lifestyle and behavior changes. It is the opportunity to have this kind of impact that gets me going every morning.

What are you most excited about regarding your role at Neura?

My main mission at Neura is to continue to develop our Care Coaching program to deliver a world-class, unprecedented level of support for those dealing with chronic headaches and migraine. Coping with a chronic condition, such as headache or migraine, is a lonely journey. We want to partner with our patients to understand their individual needs and support them to reach their personal health goals so that they can get back to enjoying their lives. To that end, I will be talking with patients to understand their unique needs, goals, and pain points. I will be taking a look at every aspect of our coaching program, from our educational curriculum to the way we coach, in order to make sure we provide a patient experience that simply cannot be found anywhere else.
