At Neura Health, we believe neurological care should support the whole person, not just their symptoms. That’s why we’re proud to introduce Carrie Berry, NBC-HWC, a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach who brings compassion, lived experience, and clinical tools to help you feel heard, seen, and supported throughout your health journey.
Whether you're managing a chronic neurological condition like migraine, navigating stress and emotional overwhelm, or simply seeking more balance in your health habits, Carrie is here to help.
A Unique Background in Leadership, Nutrition, and Emotional Intelligence
Carrie’s path into care coaching is a rich blend of education and personal experience. With a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and a Master’s in Leadership with a focus on Nutrition, she has developed a patient-first approach that merges evidence-based strategies with deep empathy. Over the past decade, Carrie has worked as a Senior Health Coach Manager at Noom, and a Health Coach at Healthways—supporting thousands of patients through meaningful change.
But what sets Carrie apart is her personal connection to the people she helps. She lives with several chronic conditions herself, including cerebral palsy, asthma, and migraine, and understands firsthand the emotional and physical complexity of managing long-term health issues.
“I use both medical and lifestyle interventions in my own life,” she shares, “and I help my patients do the same. It’s about creating an experience where people feel truly supported.”
What Is Care Coaching—and Who Can Benefit?
As Carrie explains, care coaching isn’t just for people in crisis. It’s for anyone navigating health goals, personal growth, or the emotional weight of chronic illness. “If you're a living, breathing human being, coaching can help.”
Carrie uses a variety of coaching methods rooted in emotional intelligence, behavior change science, and active listening. Her sessions are person-led, meaning the focus is on what matters most to you—whether that’s stress reduction, setting achievable health goals, or simply having a safe space to talk through concerns.
Each session begins by checking in: “How are you doing today?” From there, the conversation evolves organically. You might explore strategies for sleep, medication adherence, movement, or mental well-being—or just have the chance to be heard without judgment.
An Empathetic, Patient-First Philosophy
What makes Carrie’s coaching especially powerful is her focus on holding space. At Neura Health, we know neurological symptoms often come with invisible challenges—frustration, fear, stigma, and isolation. Carrie is trained to support all of it.
“I think most people just want to be heard and seen,” she says. “And that's what we aim to provide in coaching.”
With regular check-ins, personalized tools, and the flexibility to evolve alongside your goals, Carrie ensures that coaching is always relevant and supportive. It's about meeting you where you are, and building forward together.

Video Transcript:
Hi, I am Carrie Berry. I am a care coach here at Neura Health.
What is your professional background?
I have a varied background in hospitality, dietetics, food science, and leadership development. And so all of that really combines very well to help folks, and I started coaching about 10 years ago. I love it so much, and I have just stayed.
What is your special interest within your specific field?
My special interest is definitely the support for organizations through emotional intelligence and how that intersects, especially in healthcare organizations like Neura Health.
What is your approach to care coaching?
I have a varied approach. I use a couple of different clinical tools to support my patients really hands-on. I also really strive to provide a very empathetic-led experience for the patient because, truthfully, as cliché as it may sound, at the end of the day, most of our patients or most people just want to be heard. They want to be seen, and that's what we try to provide in our care coaching here.
Who do you think is a good fit for coaching?
Coaching is a great tool for anybody. If you're a living, breathing human being, coaching can be a fantastic addition to your life because it can just help you start to process and move through the different goals that you may have, no matter what that looks like.
Do you have a chronic condition? If so, how do you manage it?
I have a few chronic conditions. I actually live with cerebral palsy. I have severe asthma and also migraine. I manage my own chronic conditions with both medical intervention and with lifestyle intervention, and I hope to help my patients do the same.
What do you think of the integration of care coaching at Neura Health?
I love the way that coaching is very seamlessly added into the experience here at Neura. I really feel it helps our patients get the most out of what we provide because we really do have a very holistic approach, and I think that really helps our patients have the best outcomes. And it's great to be a part of something that really thinks about the big picture of health.
What does a typical care coaching session look like with you?
A typical coaching session usually looks like the opportunity for patients to share any updates they have, concerns, whether that's an existing concern or something new on their mind, and it gives us the opportunity to talk through tools that they may want to use in their every day set goals, or sometimes it just becomes kind of a vent session.
I think in coaching, it's a very intimate experience, and coaching is meant to be very person-led, and so therefore, it's very personal. One of the things that I usually like to do is from the very start, I like to really focus on making sure that I'm holding space for the patient and giving the time that is needed for that individual to build rapport with me and to get comfortable into that space and just regularly checking in to make sure that the types of support that I'm providing within the space are still relevant for that person so that we can make changes if we need.
