At Neura Health, all of our patient appointments take place online using the free video conferencing tool Zoom. This means you can meet with your neurology provider from the comfort of your own home—no need to travel!

If you’re feeling brain fog or confusion, don’t worry. We’re here to make the process as simple and stress-free as possible. This guide will walk you through the steps to set up Zoom and join your appointment easily.

Tips for a Smooth Visit

💻 You will need a computer, smartphone or tablet. Computer is preferred so you can more easily be hands-free.

⏰ Join at least 5 minutes early! This gives you time to check audio & video. If you've never used Zoom before, give yourself extra time.

🔕 Find a comfortable, private space. Ideally, in a quiet, private room with good lighting.

📶 Use a strong internet connection

Wi-Fi, LTE, or 5G works best.You can use this free internet speed test to test your connection

☑️ Bring what you need!

• Any symptom notes
• Previous and current medication list(s)
• Recent test results (if any)

You can also send in any past test results to your Concierge team via email (support@neurahealth.co) before your visit.

Before Your Appointment

You can join your direct visit link from any phone, tablet, or computer

(Optional) Create a Zoom Account

(If you already have a Zoom account, you can ignore this step.)

Note: You do not need a Zoom account to join your appointment, but having one can make it easier to access future visits.

1. Go to Zoom’s sign-up page.
2. Enter your email address and click Sign Up.
3. Check your email inbox for a message from Zoom. Click the confirmation link inside.
4. Follow the instructions to create a password and set up your account.

(Optional) Download and Install Zoom

Note: You do not need to download Zoom but it can make it easier to access future visits.

If you're on a computer:

- Download Zoom here.

- Click "Zoom Client for Meetings", then install the file.

‍If you're on a phone or tablet:

- Go to the App Store (iPhone/iPad) or Google Play Store (Android) and search for Zoom Cloud Meetings.

- Download and install the app.

‍Tip: Once installed, open Zoom once to make sure it works on your device.

🕐 When It’s Time for Your Appointment:

Tip 1: Please join at least 5 minutes early to make sure everything is working before your provider arrives!

Tip 2: We recommend using a laptop or desktop computer so you are hands-free in case the doctor would like to assess any movements. If you plan to use your smartphone, we recommend downloading the Zoom smartphone app ahead of time via the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

💻 Option 1: Join from your computer's browser (without Zoom downloaded)

1. Find your Zoom link via one of these options:
   1. Check your confirmation email or SMS message from Neura Health.
   2. Open the Neura Health app and go to your Profile page, and find your upcoming appointment.
2. Select “Join from your browser”
3. Allow camera and microphone access -  These must be enabled in order for our providers to hold the visit!

This is the easiest option for most patients who do not have a Zoom account

Tip: If this is your first time using Zoom, we recommend setting everything up at least 30 minutes before your appointment so you’re ready to go! If you need live support, please see below.

💻 Option 2: Join from the Zoom app on your computer (with Zoom downloaded)

1. Find your Zoom link via one of these options:
   • Check the confirmation email or SMS message from Neura Health.
   • Open the Neura Health smartphone app and go to the Profile page, to find your upcoming appointment link.
2. Click the Zoom link provided to open your appointment link.
3. If prompted, click "Open Zoom" or "Launch Meeting".
4. If asked, enter your name and click “Join”.
5. If you haven't already, you may be prompted to enable your microphone and camera so your provider can see and hear you. Both of these must be enabled in order for our provider to hold the visit!
